Sky Q remotes with silent button click

Real odd one this.... the missus doesnt like the clicking sound the Sky Q remote makes. Is there any way to stop this, or purchase on that doesn't click!?

It doesn't bother me personally, hardly notice it, but it is some kind of noise aversion i guess.

You're right it's odd!

However if you have an iPhone or iPad the Remote for Sky App works perfectly and noiselessly so that would be free option.

This was a great suggestion, unfortunately though from the remote selection there is one that is almost identical to mine but with a few minor differences (the volume, mute and speak buttons), so it works for most elements other than those.

Any additional advice appreciated!

I too have this issue except the clicking buttons wake my wife up when I'm using it. Are there any silent Sky Q remotes or universal ones that are compatible with Sky Q?

I have this issue too. I can't believe Sky Q has not produced a remote control with silent buttons (as the very first Sky Plus had). Argue every night with wife as the remote makes a horrible clicking sound when she's asleep. Surely thousands of people have this issue?

Hi @Jeremy28 I suspect that all current universal remotes are compatible with Sky Q. If you have a phone or tablet, why not use the Sky Q Remote provided in the Sky Go App or many 3rd party ones.

Sky won't develop a new remote control with Sky Q reaching the end of life.

Thanks @MightyQuinn I've tried a universal controller AND the control on the app. Neither have all the features needed. Such an odd thing for Sky to get wrong IMO

Hi @Jeremy28 Remote Control for Sky, 3rd party App has every button that the original Sky Q remote has and also controls my Sony TV volume etc. As a bonus it has a TV button like the old Sky+HD had. (iPhone 15 Pro).
