Hard wire Router

I have just got Fibre to the house and i want to wire the router direct to the tv i have the wire in place but unsure if it should go into Qbox or TV?

Hi @idYAHOO

If you are predominantly using your Q box for Sky TV then you need to connect the Ethernet to your Q box.

Edit

If you have a Smart TV and want to use it for Apps then you can also connect this to Ethernet by using a simple unmanaged Ethernet switch behind your Q box.

You can then connect both your TV and Q box.

The TV is separate to the SKY Box and the TV may need an internet connection for any apps etc as well as the SKY Q box

It depends on whether either or both struggle with a wifi connection

Personally I have both my SKY Q box & TV connected via ethernet - but to do similar you may need a separate unmanaged switch (i have one by my TV & SKY Box which I also have my AV amp connected)

As @nigea99 indicates, both would be preferable.
