Downloading next episode issue, and New Series Issue.

I have noticed that when I go to download a next episode, it freezes on 100% downloaded.

But I have also noticed, that if I don't check it when it's fully downloaded, it will go up to 101%.

I have taken pictures of this issue, so that if people respond with the same issue. Sky can have a look at this issue.

As I noticed the same issue about 5 months ago, when I was having an issue with it splitting my recordings, and putting them all over my recordings folder.

They found that there was an issue with the coding of the update that made this problem. So I think this could be another coding issue.

I have also noticed in the TV Guide, New Series. That their is 4 boxes for the same show. I have taken pictures of this issue, so if anyone in the community are seeing this same problem can comment.

Hi Tom,

It's already been escalated to the back tech team via Sky Accessibility.

The reason for my post here, was to see if others were having these same issues, then I know and Sky will know its part of a bigger issue.

Hi Sam,

No, unfortunately I haven't found a resolution yet, but I contacted Sky Accessiblity the other day.

They've past it onto the technical department to work on a fix for the issue.

I thought I'd bring it to the community because the more people who have this issue. The harder they'll work on a fix.

It only started playing up 2 weeks ago, when they sent through the new update. So I'm thinking it's something to do with the coding of the new software update.

There was no Software update a few weeks ago @Mark.Seddon

Last one was months ago.

If it was a software issue it would affect all boxes.

@Mark.Seddon @Kayfersmum31 you could try deleting the download that has gone stupid then ndeleting it from the deleted section then rebooting your box and finally downloading it again

I've just had this problem, I went to manage my recordings and I was at 99, I deleted some old recordings and it's all sorted.

I think my Q box is going. Press SKY or power on remote, doesn't come on. Have to press button on box, off and then on. New batteries in remote. Also, I still press to download and it does nothing. I leave it for a while, it says x downloaded but never actually downloads. I have the warranty, think I'll speak to them.

Derek just go to recordings, at the bottom of the list is manage, just delete some previous recordings and it'll sort it

I'm having the same issue too. Started about a week ago. Complete failure to download next episode. Work around seems to be changing the download format for each episode to Standard definition and then it downloads but is a total pain. Autodownload doesn't work and you can't queue downloads. They have to be done maually one at time.

I've noticed if I have hundreds of episodes (The Simpsons... I'm looking at you!) recorded there is a strange thing happens where in Recordings > Manage > Disk Space - there is a really odd display where all the characters run together on the top line (the one using the most space) and instead of a solid white progress bar the bar is blacked out, although it still displays the drive usage (85% in my case). When this happens I have issues downloading.

Here's what I did:

Deleted all the shows where the display was corrupted (you can then un delete them if you want)

Clear the download queue

Reboot the box

That works every time for me. Shows that are series linked for literally hundreds of shows seem to cause the problem (Big Bang Theory, Impractical Jokers and bizarrely The Chase 🤣 and the aforementioned Simpsons... don't judge my viewing habits, there's 5 people use this box 🤭)

Just started doing this again with me in the last week or so. What I've also noticed over the last year (this issue has probably happened about 3 times in the year) during the times of this issue is that it only seems to affect the non HD downloads. If it happens, I just download the HD version, with no issue. However, it is a pain.
