Complicated issue here

I've moved from stream to q due to foorball delay ( sounds petty) however I've always liked the look of q more anyway

when the engineer came he installed the q box to the none uhd tv

to be fair it's impossible to run it from dish to my kitchen

there's always been cables in my walls and things the previous owner did some work and installed cables

I have my broadband in my kitchen and that's run by a cable that's run under carpet in living room ( previous owner) now if this is a coaxial cable surely I can change sky q settings to slr mode and use the I've tried it and it's not working

any help much appreciated I want the q box in kitchen so I can have uhd

Unfortunately it isn't as simple as changing the mode on the SKY Q box to SCR mode to use a single cable.

A normal wideband LNB needs both cables and uses each of the cables to provide the 'wideband' signal for each polarity (one Horizontal & one Vertical) - it cannot react to & provide the signals in SCR mode.

SCR mode is usually used for Communal systems that have electronic distribution equipement that can react to the signals sent in SCR mode from the box and then send the correct signal to the SKY Q box.

I believe there are some LNBs available that can be used in SCR mode but SKY do not supply (& may not support ) them

Additionally ordinary coax is very unlikely to be suitable for Satellite signals that need the correct shielding, low attenuation etc.
