Hi

I havd BT broadband and my connection on my computer works well on 5ghz but when it connects to 2.4 ghz I get slow speeds, if I turn off 2.4 I have been told that my sky box will not work as this is the frequency it uses, can I connect my sky to 5ghz instead without any issues

Many thanks

You can potentially turn off the 2.4Gz on the computers own wireless configuration with no effect on the Q hardware.

Unfortunately I don't think you can do this on the latest BT Hubs

Typically where a router permits it you would rename one of the two bands to broadcast a different SSID (network name)

https://www.bt.com/help/broadband/fix-a-problem/broadband-and-wi-fi/i-want-to-improve-my-wi-fi/i-have-problems-connecting-5ghz-and-dual-band-devices-wirelessly

As noted, the BT Smart Hub 2 does not permit this.
