Black screen when changing channels

Hi.

My tv screen goes black when I change the channel from the tv menu. I've had to unplug the Sky Q box a few times now to get it working again. Also, if I just enter a channel number to change, the screen stays black for about 10 seconds before the picture shows. Can this be fixed or do I need a new box? The one I have is a few years old at this stage.

Thanks for the replies guys. We ended up getting a replacement box and all is fine now, so the issue was definitely a fault with the old box.
