Where can I get something to loosen the connectors without damaging them? the silver nuts that fasten the Sky Q cables to the back of the Sky Q box

One came with my Virgin Media modem... But you can buy them:

Search for 'F connector spanner' - they're on eBay for a few quid, e.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/314081254442

7/16" wrench. Drop of pentrating oil might help.

@elderwandninja An example of a suitable spanner that slips around the coaxial cable, found after searching for; F Connector Screw Type Coax Plug Long Arm Fastener Screwdriver/Spanner

The top of the handle has a screw thread which is intended to hopefully help restore the internal thread of the F connector nut, if it had inadvertently been cross threaded.
