Sounds like the remote is set up for the wrong TV model

thanks for the reply, I have been using the same remote since the start but its only just started doing it recently

No it didnt work,still having the same issue, it is driving me nuts, too many people complained for it to be my TV , Im starting to think its sky now

Mines is also an LG but a different model. Im wondering if there is a setting needing adjusted

I think it's possible to use various LG IR codes on the Sky remote. Maybe some work better than others.

still no solution to this, driving me mad, I have checked software updates, reset the system, retuned the remote, still the same, surely everybody cant have a faulty lg tv

I have tried everything I can think of. Cant be coinsidence that everyone has an LG TV. Tells me there is some update req but wat it is I'm stuck

You sure you picked the exact right model of TV on the remote setup screen?

Neither the sky box or tv are new, they've been working fine up to now. The problem has just started , it can happen up to 4 times in an hours programme if I'm fast forwarding the adverts.

I would still try resetting it and picking the model again Random stuff happens. Neutrino from space hits a transistor etc 😉

I feel your pain but if I find an answer I will def message as quite a few people have the same issue,
