TV sky codes for TV

Hi,

Just trying to get my tv's back working with the sky q and sky q mini, just moved house and they were all working fine before the move so it is strange both of them are not working.

The samsung tv model numbers are UE42F5000AK (main Sky Q box and UE32T5300AK Sky Q mini

I have tried all of sky's default codes and the tv setup wizard without success but they both was working fine with them.

Any suggestions would be helpful, Thanks in advance.

What codes are you looking for? The boxes don't work via a code. They get connected to your satellite dish and connect to your tv. You just then need to connect to your router

When setting the boxes up it ask's you if you want to set up your tv to use the sky remote to control the volume and the power on/off etc.... It says to pres and hold buttons 1 & 3 together followed by the code provided on the screen (4 digit code). The remotes work fine with the sky q boxes.

Hi @Jamie2k2

Bluetooth Sky Q remotes (with microphone for voice control) do no use codes they use TV brand and model. The early Infrared remotes used codes.

First try rebooting your main Q box. And then repeat procedure with the mini.

To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)

note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

ThenTry completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

I am so sorry im not very good with tech,

I have followed your steps for the Sky voice control and works fine now (thank you). The Mini Q remote is working with the box but the remote is different. to the main box and is not conneting to control the tv.

But i did do the start up wizard and also manually trying to find the model number but unable to.

Hi @Jamie2k2

Looks like your mini remote is the original infrared version (without the microphone button and no voice control).

Therefore it will need the 4 digit code for the TV.

Carry out the same reset procedure again on the mini.

Go to Home - Settings - Setup - Remote control. Choose the Sky Q remote.

In Remote control setup

Use find it for me and then enter brand (Samsung)

For model Use find it for me.

When you are asked to press 1 & 3 together make sure the red led above the Sky logo on the remote flashes twice and then Enter the code.

When you try to change volume make sure that you are pointing the remote at the TV.

For other commands (such as selecting Yes - No - Finish) you need to point the remote at the mini box.

For all normal mini commands it needs pointing at the mini.

For TV On/Off (long press) or mute or volume you need to point the remote at the TV Set.

Thank you for the deailed advice, i have completed this step and the box has 8 codes but none of them worked at all. This is what i am looking for the acual sky remote code for the tv. It has worked before but i do not remeber the code i used.

Hi @Jamie2k2

Did you make sure that the remote LED flashed twice before you entered each code?

Yes i did every time and made sure i waited about 20/0 seconds before trying another one if the volume button did not work.

Just to make sure.

Did you press 1 & 3 before trying each code? (Don't know you need to wait so long before trying the next code)

If So all I can suggest is that you try the model UE32.... and try a few of the models that come up
