New mini box trying to set up stuck at step 1 as box doesn't seem to be responding to the remote control..RC working fine as I can use it for volume etc

hi @HelenDun

Was the remote paired to an old box ?

If so you may need to reset it to be able to control the new box

To reset it :

Press & Hold the 7 & 9 until the remote's light flashes 4 times

It then works in infrared mode until paired so needs line of sight of the Q box

P.S. Resetting the remote will stop it controlling the TV until it has been re-paired
