A Question about Returning Sky Q box by Collection by Royal Mail.

All the packaging arrived today for me to return my Sky Q box. I have arranged for the Royal Mail to collect it tomorrow.

I know I need to keep my Tracking Number.

I have never used this service before so I'm not sure when I will be given a tracking number.

Also should I keep my reference number too.

The tracking number is the one on the return address label. I'd suggest taking a camera photo of it (make sure it's legible!). Ask for proof of postage, but I don't think RM provide one for collected items.

You might also want to take a picture of the filled package before you seal it up.

@Mark Thank you. I have just put the number in and they are expecting it.

Wish I had taken a photo as you suggested but I have already sealed it up.

But I have the Tracking number so everything should be ok if anything goes wrong.

I'd suggest taking screenshot of the tracking progress until it's reported as being received. Keep them indefinitely - occasionally queries arise months later.
