Be aware that if you’re on a communal dish system you’ll have to contact your landlord or building management company rather than Sky.

One of the other Superusers on here has previously recommended not trying to reboot a box if it shows no satellite signal as it places it in a continuous loop.

This is the solution that worked for me when I was getting no satellite signal on my Sky Q mini box and sometimes no Internet connection, although in settings it was saying there was no problem. I have a BT router.

Down power all 3 pieces of equipment, Main box, mini box and router.

Power up router.

Power up main box

On main box go to settings - Network Connection - Network Setup. In here select 'Reset' if the message in here is 'your network looks good' you need to confirm you want continue with rest.

Here you will have a choice of which router you have, a Sky router or Other broadband provider. Select which one you have.

Hopefully you will see you now need to add your router password. 'Do not enter manually' do nothing.

Now go your Router and press the WPS button, press this until it starts flashing.

Now go to your main box and press the WPS button. This will connect both boxes without entering passwords.

Hopefully all is fine between router and main box now.

Now go to mini box and go through the reset process.

This worked for me and I can see all my recordings and TV guides without any missing or delayed.

Good luck 👍🏻

then reboot the mini box
