New customer = trying to get best TV to including Irish channels for rugby and racing. In a rural situation so no fibre. Can anyone help?

Unless you are located in the Republic or some areas of NI then you aren't going to get Irish channels by broadcast.

Edit: online sources suggest areas of the UK mainland closest to the island (SW England , West Wales, SW Scotland) might receive usable Saorview or Saorsat signal with the appropriate receiver hardware. Sky UK cannot carry Irish channels to addresses in mainland UK because those channels are not themselves UK broadcast licence holders.
