Sky Sports US Open Tennis Match Replays

How can I view Match replays?

With the night matches being live in the UK well into the early hours of the morning, how can I stream a full match replay the following day? The red button doesn't work if Sky is not broadcasting the live programming from the venue.

I have the same question. They seem to be cherry picking specific matches thar can be watched and are only showing select matches live. Not a very useful service to be honest.

Hi Hazza

You can watch all the courts live through the red button on Sky Q when the main coverage is on, but it would be good to be able to watch time shifted full match replays. Hate to mention the 'P' word, but they managed it OK!

Oh thanks for the info, I didn't know that. Given the time zone difference, as you say, being able to watch all replays is a basic expectation to viewers in the UK. I hope Amazon win the rights again at some point in the future... 😕

I don't think I can wait another 5 years!

I was quite dismayed when Amazon took over some rights, mainly as Sky wouldn't stump up the 8 million for ATP matches per year, nearly 400 hours of programming, but would rather spend 10 million per match for Premier league football. In the end Prime didn't make a bad job of it. While we are on the subject, do you watch the tennis in UHD? Some transmissions are OK but others are horrendous. Very bright and the colours look out of some paint-by-numbers palette of 10 colours, almost unwatcheable. I feel another post coming on!

Nope, as far as I can tell, there are no replays at all. When the Tennis is on live on the main channels, the red button will only give you live streams of the other courts, no selectable replays of matches. The only replays are the ones Sky want to show on the main channels the next day, usually one match from the main channel shown the day before, which you could record yourself.

Apologies, Prime had the ATP matches and Eurosport/Discovery had the slams, but both had decent match replays, Eurosport/Discovery on their player.

I have sky glass and can view them if they are on your playlist. That has to clicked on so basically it records.

Not happy with Sky about this as I paid for a month of Sky Sports especially .

Hi good of you to reply ...no glass unfortunatly .I too was in for month for tennis only, and, like to watch all brits and not early hours of morning.!!!!!!!!!..am now in quandry boys{?} and girl{s?} all on today .Fingers will be sore switching about Suppose could be worse ...have no fingers. WONDER IF NOW HAVE REPLAYS? like what P had?

I phoned Sky this morning and was told that Replays would be there in Catch-up. I checked whilst still on the phone and indeed found that Replays were beginning to appear, although only 3 so far. That seemed promising and the Agent said the others would appear during the day. Good.

However, after finishing the call, I downloaded one of the videos - it was not a whole match replay but a clip, 10 mins long with 5 mins of this advertising.

I hope that Sky will realise that this is totally unacceptable and revise their service.

Another fear of course, slightly off topic, is that if Sky are downgrading their coverage of the US Open then they will probably also downgrade the number of Tournaments they cover, when the move of tennis from Amazon Prime is complete in January.

Thanks for the info. Don't know much about Sky Glass but no such option to record individual match with Sky Q unless it is playing on a main channel.. The match would have to be 'live' to record it? Sort of defeats the object of a replay.

Hate to mention Prime? Why, they made it so simple to enjoy the whole tournament. Not favouring certain matches etc. it was so easy to access any court at any time. I'm finding it impossible to access the different courts on mobile and laptop. What a clunky system. You would have thought the premium Sky charge would mean they deliver a better service than Amazon. That's not the case, awful clunky system that has ruined the experience of watching the tournament...BBC also do a good job of doing Wimbledon. No excuses sky....

The likelihood of no replays was my biggest fear when i heard Sky were taking on the tennis again, and so it comes to fruition.

If Sky want to be taken seriously as a tennis broadcaster they have to move with the times - and surely matching if not bettering their predecessors coverage should have been their number one goal.

How can Amazon who are relatively new in sports broadcasting get it so much better than a broadcaster who has over 30 years of experience? 🤔

How can a company like Sky not realise that match replays are essential when they are live during the night in UK! I called them today to ask about replays, it took the customer service person 40 minutes of going off several times to ask someone else and the final answer was that nobody knew !! It took for me to find this forum to get the answer. Shambolic
