Issues Pairing new Sky Q Remote Control

Hello,

We have a new Sky Q Remote Control and I am having problems pairing with our tv. I have followed the instructions and inputted the codes as advised, but it has been unsusscessful. I've tried four times now, resetting the remote to factor settings before each new attempt. Is there anything else I can try, or should I just call Sky for further assistance.

Hi @RReilly2

There are no codes for Q Bluetooth remotes.

They use TV brand and model.

Try rebooting your Q box.

To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)

note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

Then with the Q box on with green led Try completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.

Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

Jumping on this thread. I've got a new sky remote as mine died with brand new batteries. Have held down 7 and 9 and got the 4 blinking red lights. Held down 1 and 3 for 2 bins while pointing at sky box which was on and nothing happening.

Have also tried 4 and 6 which also did 4 blinks then 1 and 3 again to same result.

Have unplugged sky Q box for 10 minutes, reconnected the presses power button to turn back on but same result.

Any ideas people? Thanks.
