Hi - could you please let me know at what point of a new build does Sky TV need to get access to the house to install any cabelling & TV dish on site? Thanks

Hi @SHargo I don't really understand your question, but you will need two things, a working broadband and a television in place to test the installation.

First thing to do is confirm your builders allow satellite dishes. Some don't on new developments.

Hi @SHargo A SKY TV subscription and installation will need a customer to be living at the registered address, an engineer will call and install the dish and cabelling, and connect to a working TV and broadband on the same day.

Note that Sky will not survey in advance, or carry out bespoke installation by running concealed cabling.

If you want that kind of thing you'll need to employ your own independent satellite television contractor.

A Sky television installer will not carry out their task on a building site or alongside other trades, and expects to find the householder present, working mains power, at least one television set, and preferably broadband.

Hi, I was told by my developer that it was fine to install the sky satellite dish which I did but a few months later, I was approached by Southwark Council housing management that I have invalidated the building warranty and I must take the dish down or they will tack action against me. I don't understand why sky streaming doesn't have the religious channels which is why I ended up going for the sky dish plus the price of sky glass is also so inflated. Why is sky removing the religious channels? I am a Christian and mostly watch these channels.

That has been correctly answered on your other post on the Sky Glass/Stream/Live board. The presumably low viewing figures might have influenced the channel's decision for financial reasons.

Glass is undoubtedly expensive hardware, but Stream is the same product without the requirement to purchase a television set.

However, it sounds like a Sky streaming service is not appropriate for your viewing preferences: as indicated, it's quite possible that smaller channels will never choose to be on this platform.
