      <description>Every time I switch on my TV I get a message telling me to rescan channels and it's right in the centre of the screen with rescan highlighted I press the ok butbut nothing happens Can anyone tell me how to remove the message permanently or how to rescan</description>

&lt;P&gt;As &lt;a href="https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/9873"&gt;@GD1&lt;/a&gt; indicates, that's scanning for Digital Terrestrial ('Freeview') signal broadcast from a local television transmitter mast/tower rather than anything to do with satellite television.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Typically there will be an option somewhere in the television settings (accessed using the TV remote) to tell the television not to scan on startup.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
