Hi, which frequency should my sky q 1T be connected to?

When I search for networks only my 2.4 comes up.

Hi @Bugsy2023 The answer to that depends on your ISP. For Sky Broadband it's 5 GHz and for all other providers 2.4 GHz.

Thank you, so I have connect via the 2.4 but it’s so slow on downloading programs and also my apps are buffering. I have jurrasic fibre with a speeds in excess of 700mbps.

Hi @Bugsy2023 If you have a 32B2xx box then it has a 1000 Mbps Ethernet card. The old 32Cxxx only has a 100 Mbps card. Perhaps a WiFi access point connected to the Ethernet port may help or fast power line adapters.

The bandwidth on 2.4GHz is more than enough for downloading. Download speeds can be throttled at source so increasing the bandwidth won't necessarily assist on the final leg.
