Sky Q box and mini controller problem

Does anyone know how to program a mini box controller to work separately from the Q box one as when I try and pair it with the mini box it picks up the Q box through Bluetooth and pairs that rather than the mini!

How close together are your Q box and mini box?

The obvious thing to try is to take the minibox further away before trying to pair it. Or move the remote as far away from the Q box as possible before trying.

Hi, it's only a small house so the Bluetooth gets it from upstairs too.

So how about (temporarily) wrapping the Q box in aluminium foil to mask the bluetooth signal while you pair the minibox. (Don't do it for any length of time though - the Q box will overheat!)

Hi, I was on the phone to sky last night with no answer for 30 mins and then they shut at 9.
I'll try that idea and see if that works tonight.
