topic SKy Q Mini via Wired Connection via second Router in Sky Q

I have Sky Broadband and my Main Sky Q Box connected via Wifi. I have a room in the Garden where I have a Sky Mini box set up. I have run a cable from my router to the garden room. If I plug in directly my Sky Box works fine. However, I also work from the garden room so need the connection to work for my Sky Box and also my laptop.

From the second router in the garden room, my laptop work fine wired but the Sky Box shows a Technical fault. I suspect that the name of the Network is not the same as the Main Box as I can see it is the router name on my Windows PC.

What is the best way to connect both my Sky Box and Laptop to the network name of my Sky Broadband (have a similar issue with my Network printer which means I need to be wired directly to the main router).

Hi @Clarkmeister

A second router only adds Network complications and will not connect to the mini
The mini connected by your Ethernet will be a hotspot for other devices have you tried to connect to this?
Another option is to install a simple unmanaged Ethernet switch in your garden room so you can connect the mini and other devices such as a Q WiFi booster.

I didn't realise the mini would be a hotspot too. This has worked. I have lost some of the speed on the laptop but it will be good enough I think. If not I will get an unmanged ethernet switch. many thanks for your help.
