Just received an email offering 4 week trial of Sky Cinema FOC, after the 4 weeks is up it's £6 a month unless I cancel. Small print says 31 days notice to cancel. Now maths was never my strongest point but this doesn't make sense, does it: a 28 day free trial that I have to cancel 3 days before I subscribe or I get charged. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤔

I got this as well, and would'nt mind a free month of movies, absolutly not going to pay and will 100% cancel, but I agree, if I cancel on the day I take the trial, it'll be 3 days over and I'll have to then pay £6?!?

I'm sure the 31 days notice is from when you start paying isn't it???

Can anyone clarify?

I normally just pass up these offers. As nice as the temporary perks are, it’s not obvious or a simple task to cancel once the offer/trial is over.

Im sure many people get frustrated,

can’t cancel and then carry on using the product until they finally manage to cancel it.

I'm about to activate this 4 week Sky Cinema trial today, and I'm happy for it to run past the New Year, so I'm OK with paying for one more month at £6. Therefore, I'm trying to work out the date on which I should cancel? On the last day of the 4 week trial? In theory, that should be the start of my 'pay' month, yes?

It's just dawned on me that I think I can cancel anytime. But how will Sky bill me, pro rata or the full £6 if I cancelled say, 2 weeks from today, which would be the 12th December? So 31 days notice of cancellation would mean Sky Cinema is switched off on 12th January.

I started my free trial today, so it will end on Boxing Day. So how much do I get charged for the period Boxing Day to 12th January? £6? Or part of £6? Very confusing!

Unfortunately you'll be charged for a part month now as in cancelling it you need to give 31 days notice.

The current methods for contacting Sky are below and depending on your reason for making contact some methods will be more appropriate than others……

🟩 📞 Customer Services by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky mobile or a Sky Talk landline.

Hi all,

I'm thinking of taking this offer, happy for it to run over Christmas, happy to pay £6pm for a couple of months, but not happy if it's going to start a new rolling 24 month contract! When I click on the terms and conditions, it only has the standard Ts & Cs for adding the Sky Cinema package at full price, which of course kicks off a new 24m contract.

Additionally, it says "£6 per month unless cancelled", indicating it CAN be cancelled, but does that mean it needs to be cancelled within the 4 weeks, or can I just cancel it after a couple of months?

One other thing; I don't want the free version of Paramount+. I already pay separately for the premium version of Paramount+, and had a right faff with Sky before when I had the free version with Sky Cinema and wated to upgrade (which of course you can't), so had to wait 6 weeks for Sky to remove my details so Paramount could upgrade my account. Can I avoid Sky messing about with my Paramount+ subscription if I take out this offer?

I would be really grateful if any one could advise please?

Many thanks.
