      <title>No sound on Qbox</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I've suddenly got no sound from sky Q. I've reset the box I've swapped the HDMI leads and tried HDMI in a different input. All settings look correct. Sound on TV is working okay. Any other ideas please?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Assume you have tried the different HDMI audio Output settings&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Normal&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Dolby Digital etc.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Try a Reset Settings in the Q box hidden menu. &lt;BR /&gt;To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.&lt;BR /&gt;With Settings highlighted press &lt;STRONG&gt;0 0 1 Select.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Only Carry out the first Reset (Reset Settings) as the other two will wipe all recordings. &lt;BR /&gt;After the Reset you will have to re pair your Bluetooth remote If you use one.&lt;BR /&gt;If you cannot switch the Q box on with the remote after the Reset press the Standby button (Amber led) on the front of the box.&lt;BR /&gt;To re pair the remote press 1 &amp;amp; 3 together on the remote and follow onscreen instructions to re pair.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Make sure that you are pointing the remote at the Q box when you press 1 &amp;amp; 3 together.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Resetting the settings will also reset:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Audio visual settings, such as picture resolution and HDMI control&lt;BR /&gt;Settings changed within the hidden engineer menu, include LNB type. If on a communal dish you need to reset the LNB to SCR in the hidden menu. After changing the LNB type you need to reboot the Q box.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;First double check the setting in :&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Home - Settings - Setup - Audio Visual&lt;BR /&gt;Digital audio output HDMI&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;amp; only set to Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital + if your TV can handle it&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If that is all OK, although normal TV may be working I suggest you try doing a power down restart of your TV.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;We often find this helps some who loose sound&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;This message seems to have caused a bit of a quirk so try this:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Press &amp;amp; hold 4 &amp;amp; 6 on the remote to set to Infrared only (so must have line of sight of the box)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hopefully you can then dismiss the message&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then try re-pairing in bluetooth mode with the box by pressing &amp;amp; holding 1 &amp;amp; 3 together&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If this does not work try a full remote reset by pressing &amp;amp; holdng 7 &amp;amp; 9 until the red led above the SKY logo button flashes 4 times&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then try the 1&amp;amp;3 to re-pair &amp;amp; pair with the TV&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Make sure the box is in sight because the remote will now be in IR mode. Once you get in try the 1 &amp;amp; 3 again.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Unpair their Sky Q remote from the box by holding 4&amp;amp;6&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Wait for the remote to flash&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Then dismiss the information screen "Skip &amp;amp; set up later"&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hold 1&amp;amp;3 to repair the remote control&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;If 4&amp;amp;6 does not allow you to clear the information screen, try holding 7&amp;amp;9 to reset the Sky Q remote then hold 1&amp;amp;3 and follow the on-screen setup journey to allow the remote to control the TV.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
