How do I switch off the Sky Q Wifi?

I don't use Wifi and I don't intend to connect my Sy Q box to the internet using a hard wire.

The installation engineer said this was okay and switched off the broadband connection onscreen. Also on this forum, on a previous thread, I was told how to manually switch off two Wifi channels at two separate frequencies, which I succesfully did onscreen.

However, it is clear the box is still producing a strong and continual Wifi signal. I have a monitor which can identify and measure Wifi signal strength. It's as if the box is stuck in a loop trying to find a Wifi connection. The Sky Q box produces Wifi signal day and night and even when the box is on standby. For example, if the box is on standby and hasn't been used for several hours, the box is still warm to the touch and you can hear the fan whirring.

Why doesn't the box just do what it is told to do and permently switch off the Wifi? I fear this issue could limit the lifespan of my Sky Q box.

That's a strange one as I have the wifi on my Q TV box turned off (both frequency's) and can confirm that is doesn't broadcast any wifi,

@Skull+Treaty it's continually sending out a 60 dB signal.

Just to double check, how do you know your Sky Q box is not sending out any Wifi signal? Have you actually measured it as being zero?

I have a Wi-Fi sniffer and a site survey tool, nothing found from the Sky Q box

Maybe what I have is a software issue and the Sky Q box isn't doing what it's been told to do.
