topic Can't connect to my routers 5ghz channel in Sky Q

My Internet provider has two channels on the router, 2.4 and 5 ghz. Originally Sky Q was connected to the 2.4 channel. The 5 ghz channel has a different ID to the 2.4 but it doesn't show up in the WiFi list.

Is there anyway to connect the 5 ghz channel without having to contact the infuriating sky "help" ?

Unfortunately not - SKY Q will only use the 2.4GHz band with 3rd party providers

Thank you for the timely response. Strange though as Zen technical (Internet provider) said it was possible but Sky needed to change a setting in the box.

If you connect a Sky Q booster by Ethernet to your router then you can use WPS on your Q Box to connect to the 5 Ghz band of the booster

I have the same problem but I have sky broadband! I split the channels to 5 and 2.4ghz so I can connect outside cameras, now my Q box only finds 2.4ghz and the mini boxes freeze constantly.
How do I fix this?
