Sky Q & Mini Box Internet Connection

Good Afternoon,

I have an internet connection coming into my home which is connected to the main Sky Q box in COMS units. I also have set up a boost network through CAT5 structure in the house which is named differently and provides strong WIFI in all other rooms in the house then the one connected to Sky Q main box.

Is it possible to have main Sky Q box on 1 WIFI connection and then the remaining mini boxes connecting to another connection that provides a stronger WIFI coverage.

It appears the mini boxes are picking up same as main sky q box.

Any guidance or help be appreciated

Hi @Wilmister

If you are on 3rd part broadband then I'm afraid the minis if connected by WiFi will only connect to the Q WiFi mesh generated by the main Q box.

I have fibrus and therefore a TP provider

Hi @Wilmister

If there is any possibility to have all boxes connected by Ethernet to a 3rd party provider this should work. They all must be connected to the same network.
