Freezing Sky Q

The fan on my Sky Q box suddenly starts making a lot of noise - sometimes when watching TV, and sometimes when it's not even on. When it does this the Q box stops functioning, and the only solution is to turn off at the mains and restart 30 seconds later.

Not helpful when we are away as it fails to record.

Also, the other day it just froze whilst we were watching live TV and the remote wouldn't do anything - the same solution was needed to get it working again.

Does this sound like the box is failing?
