Satellite signal keeps dropping

The satellite signal keeps dropping...to get it back I have to jiggle the two black cables that go into the back of the box. They seem pretty tightly screwed in. Often , when we go to watch it it takes ages to get the connection 'just right'. Sky minibox seems unaffected. Sometimes, the screen goes black for a second, then returns.

@Ellageorge It might be worth inspecting the condition of the central conductors in each coaxial cable.

Hi there, yes I unscrewed them and had a look, they seem OK. Signal returned when I put them back in, so now waiting to see if that has done the trick!

That sounds like one or both had come lose; hopefully resolved now

Alas no, it's no longer working again. I have booked a sky engineer to come out.

Did you get a resolution to this? I've got a sky engineer coming out next week but the signal constantly drop even when the weather is calm out.
