I have a Samsung TV with one connect box with the Sky Q box connected with Hdmi Cable.

Annoying horizontal band which moves down screen intermittently effecting the colours as it moves through picture. This only seems to be when when watching a Sky channel, but not if I switch to an app such as netflix, or my Amazon fire stick channels on different source input..

Seems strange as ony effects Sky channels.I have changed HDMI cables and turned everything of and reconnected but no change.

Any ideas or is it a specific issue with the Sky Q box.thanks

have found and old thread and it would appear that there is a known issue with the compatability between sky q boxes and the Samsung one connect box.Do not want to buy another newer one connect box if the same issue will happen. One suggestion is to get a splitter for the hdmi input to the sky q box but not sure how this will change things as will still have to connect into the one connect box.Any ideas ?

have just tested on another TV a JVC, which I can plug the hdmi leads for both sky q box and the amazon fire stick into direct. No interference on either source.Have re-connected to the Samsung through the one connect box and the interference band still showing moving through the bottom third of the screen. Have a call back from a Samsung tech. sometime in the next 24 hours so will update. Also was told each One Connect box is paired with the individual TV so cannot test another one connect box. Not sure this is true as cannot believe that they are paired one to one so that you cannot get another box if the one supplied with TV fails or has an issue?

Just spent a long time talking to Samsung tech, no solution cannot change one connect box type would need and engineer to set up, expensive and not sure would change anything.Spoke to Samsung engineer company ICTV who advised that parts not available for TV or box, and at £80.00 test cost for call out, would not neccesarily be able to solve as as it is an older TV/One connect box and it may be that the Sky Q box signal cannot be perfectly read as is a newer Q box and that the TV/Connect box is not totally compatible. Will talk to Sky to see if they have any ideas

spoke to Sky as the Qbox had no interference on another TV, then no problems with that box only the feed received by the TV/one connect box, so no point getting a Sky enginner out.Looks like I will be watching mostly through the firestick source as have subsciption which enables viewing of hundreds of channels. Will have to record on Sky when needed and watch with the interference. Not the solution I wanted butnot spending money on another TV.Still interested if anyone has similar issues especially specific to my TV model and one box.

Have now contacted sellers of the Samsung one connect box, on Ebay and apparently any box supplied with the same model Tv as mine UE KS series will work totally contrary to what Samsung advised me!.I m buying one that was used with a larger screen model of mine also using a SKY q box and had no issues. Selling as TV was broken. Will update with outcome when I receive it.Am amazed that Samsung gave such misleading information!

Any replacement one connect box will require setting up for the panel by going into the service menu which samsung will advise you not to do as a wrong setting can brick the television.

I assume you've tried the SkyQ in different hdmi ports as it is odd that you don't get the same issue with other connected devices..

Update, purchased another One connect box that had been used with a Sky Q box and a KS8000 TV. As confirmed by a number of postings here and on Samsung communiy connected and the SKY input and Firestick worked without any issues. Why Samsung insist a TV and One Connect box are individual to each TV i do not know and is wrong and misleading.I have posted as such on the Samsung community and will be interested to see if I get a reply.Unfortunately the issue with the band moving through screen and fading colours as it moves through is still there, and as a number of postings have confirmed a compatability issue, including a SKY rep, solution is still to be found. One posting suggested a complete reset of the TV which I may try. Any further comments would be welcomed.
