Please, can anyone tell me how to swith off red buttion alerts - in live sport 'Recap' pops up constantly and is driving me potty. Online guidance always seems to refer to a 'services' button on the remote - but mine doesn't have one... Any help greatly appreciated...

Hi @Jaaaaaaaaaaaarrrr

The red button Recaps option is available on some live Sports.

If you don't want this option then don't select it in the Red Button options

It's the intrusive on-screen alerts that pop up every couple of minutes that I'm trying to stop...

That refers to the old non-Q Sky boxes that had an "interactive icon timeout" option that removed the Red Button prompt after 30 seconds. This happens automatically on Sky Q. However it will re-appear for another 30 seconds whenever the broadcaster decides.

Useless and anoying pop up soon it will be a bog roll ad probebly when utd are playing

I have a very simple work around, although I shouldn't have to if Sky got their finger out and stopped the constant display of the recap button. As it only appears on live games you simply pause the game at kick off and press play a second later and you're now on catch-up and not technically watching the game live anymore. This stops the stupid red button appearing again until you go real time live again 🙂

I love the simple workaround .... but Sky - this is beyond rubbish. As you know, 'its only live once' and irritiating recap/data red button alerts re-appearing after they've previously been dismissed spoils live events. This smacks of a software bug and hints a second class service. If you cannot deliver a first rate service, start charging me at an appropriate rate.

Whilst having a pop at Sky BBC1 is breathing a sigh of relief watch from start covering bottom half of screen people are fine with that but little red button bottom right of screen

Would it be same response for reminders interrupting our live sports🤔

A guy has said just before kick off press pause for a few seconds then press play recap only works live TV I've tried it today definitely works
