Could BT broadband be the issue?

I have Sky Q (1 main box and 4 mini boxes) and about once a month the mini boxes decide to stop working and say there is no broadband connection, despite the wifi working perfectly fine.

I'm starting to wonder whether sky tv would work better with sky broadband?

Does anyone have any thoughts?

The mini boxes connect to the main Q box via their own network and not your broadband.

With a non-Sky ISP the main Q connection will only use 2.4GHz connection to your router.

It's possible the BT configuration is interfering with the Sky mesh (5GHz channel 36).

Whilst it may give less issues using Sky as ISP there's no reason another ISP shouldn't work. Try changing the 5GHz channel on the BT router.

You need to access the admin section of your BT router and change the 5GHz channel (probably set to auto). Ensure it's as far away from channel 36 as possible.
