It would also be useful to know if Sky Megahits (303) is affected or just the other movie channels. Megahits is broadcast on a different frequency to the others.

@Incanto A signal strength indication of just 30 is likely to be around 52 dBuV which is the absolute minimum signal strength that a Sky Q receiver can accept.

This is indicative of the signal strength that would be expected if the absolute maximum lengths of coaxial cable had been used between your satellite dish Wideband LNB and the Sky Q receiver.

So, if Sky have used their preferred 'thin lossy' CT63 / WF65 coaxial cable (outer diameter 4.8mm), is the length of coaxial cable that has been used around 45 metres long, or if CT100 / WF100 coaxial cable (outer diameter 6.7mm) has been used, is the length of coaxial cable around 75 metres long.

If the length of coaxial cable that has been used is less than these absolute maximum lengths, then an indicated signal strength of just 30, would suggest that your satellite dish is no longer optimally aligned to receive from the Astra 28.2 degrees East satellite cluster.

Godfrey.
