&lt;P&gt; here is a screenshot from Sky website under the heading tv installation. You can see it refers to installing new socket ! Please clarify&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;That extract is for Broadband&amp;nbsp; (fibre)&amp;nbsp; which does require various sockets both outside &amp;amp; in&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Not sure why that would show under TV - as I say they do not install sockets for the TV cable&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have just had an engineer to fit a new installation - satellite and sky Q. I assumed the engineer would fit an internal socket. However he has just drilled a hole through the external wall to feed the cable through and straight into box. Is this standard?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Yes this is standard&amp;nbsp; - they do not fit sockets &amp;amp; prefer to keep the cable unbroken.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;BTW they would still have had to drill through the wall to feed the cable to a socket&lt;/P&gt;</description>
