How can you avoid this happening when setting up a series link?

Just to be clear, I want to view a prog like Gardeners World WITHOUT the signer at the side of the screen but the series link seems to want to give me the version with the Signer.

The sign language is hard-baked in, usually to a repeat It sounds like you're recording from a sign language showing. These are usually late at night or early morning.

You'll need to check the "Other Showings" tab and find another showing, ideally the first showing of the week, which wouldn't be signed.

In the case of GW, the 8pm Friday showing is the one to go for.

@Sucrehomme In the synopsis of the broadcast you're recording there should be a 'SL' to indicate Sign Language, so look for a showing that doesn't have that.
