Hi all,

I have Sky Broadband, with a sky router connected to the main sky Q box via Ethernet over powerline.

haveing just upped my BB to full fibre, we still have occasional network issues at one of the Sky Q minis , 1 of 4. All only running Wi-Fi. The only Wi-Fi in the house.
using the speed test built into Netflix this sky mini was only getting 20mb.
I added a direct Ethernet connection to the sky Q main box, increasing it's connection speed to over 100mb.
The Sky Q mini doubled to 40mb. But it still gets network dropout. Resulting in a delay before the connection is restored.

I would like to run a direct Ethernet cable to that sky Q mini, to resolve these issues.
It also needs to continue to act as a wireless hotspot for people in the house.

I can not seem to find how to force the sky Q mini to use it's Ethernet connection.

any thing I try seems not to work as the Netflix speed test remains at 40mb.

what do in need to do?

cheers Westy

I would like to run a direct Ethernet cable to that sky Q mini, to resolve these issues.
It also needs to continue to act as a wireless hotspot for people in the house.

I can not seem to find how to force the sky Q mini to use it's Ethernet connection.

There is no way to 'force' a Mini to use ethernet while still having its WiFi active.

So to make it use Ethernet, I need to disable both wireless frequencies?
With the knock on effect that may have on the other hotspots?

I thought it was cleverer than that?
