Sky q mini box network name,

Hope you can help everyone,

Today one of our three mini boxes wouldn't connect to the main box.

For context I have a Smarthub 2 with a Bt complete wifi disc.

Turning it on brought up one of 3 questions,is this the first time setting up this box,have you changed router and one other,can't remember it to be honest,answered no to all three.

Next message says I should reset my broadband.So checked the other two mini boxes and they were fine as was everything else.

Decided to do a network reset on the mini box and noticed that the network name was a Sky WiFi connection.

Checked the main box and other two mini boxes,network name was our router.

Question is why was this Mini showing a sky network name,was it the Sky mesh ID,and why did it happen.

Network reset got it up and running by the way,did a wps with the nearest mini box.

Asking so it doesn't happen again.

As you are with BT & not SKY the minis do not connect to your wifi but a wifi signal generated by the SKY Q Main box - hence it showing the SKY Wifi name

I am not sure why the other minis show your own Network name but they are connecetd to your Main box wifi - others may know the reason but it does seem a quirk that the name can show that way

@nigea99 This is what I don't understand,the mini boxes are not connected to the router as they connect to their own mesh so why are they showing my router ID,not a Sky one,it's always been like this for 3 years and I can't tell of the problems we've had overall with WiFi both fttc and fttp
