Who controls fast forward

Is it Sky? or the channel or something else?

When I use fast forward to avoid adverts, I am prevented from doing so.

How can I overide this?

Hi @gusavski On Sky Q there is nothing preventing you from fast forwarding through the adverts. However it is quicker and easier to use voice commands or pause and direction keys.

As you've posted on the Sky Q board I presume you're using Sky Q and recording from normal Sky channels, not apps. What is preventing you from fast forwarding a recording through the adverts (unless the programme is still being recorded and you catch up with live TV)? It's not something Sky control.
