HDMI Control - turning on the TV

Hi guys,

My Dad's just got Sky Q - and Multiroom. First thing I noticed when I had a play earlier, was that HDMI control didn't appear to work... as in from having everything on standby, turning Sky on does not appear to have any control over either of his TV's: both Sony and both less than 5 years old. And his main TV defintely woke up with his Sky HD box.

I've looked in Settings and HDMI Control is enabled.

Any ideas?

Did you check HDMI control is also turned on in the TV Settings @slipd

Edit.

Also be aware that Q HDMI control will not turn off the TV. This would therefore need a long (3 sec) press on the Q remote provided it is correctly paired to the TV.

Thanks! I keep forgetting to check the TV settings... I just assume everything is on the Sky kit side ☺️

My hdmi control was working with my LG c2, then I got a soundbar and whilst setting it up I was checking the capibility of passthrough with the soundbar and then I realised the soundbar doesn't support 10 bit passthrough and I switched it back to a standard hdmi from the sky q box to the LG TV and in the process I lost hdmi control with the magic remote and when I try set it up again it fails.

HELP ME 😞 TRIED EVERYTHING SO CONFUSED
