Just had Q installed so not used to it — how do I stop a recorded programme that I am watching.

I have just had Q installed so not used to it --- to watch a prog on catchup do I have to down load it and how do you do this

when watching a recorded or downloaded prog how do,I stop it before the end

the old remote had a little square that you pushed to stop the recording

Welcome to SKy Q

To watch from catch up find the episode/programme you want to to watch & click on the thumbnail (it is likely to have an arrow pointing downwards in white showing in the thumbnail indicating 'download')

Once it has downloaded (or partially downloaded) it will show in your Recordings - Most Recent - Press the SKY Logo on the remote (it is a button) to quickly go to recordings

When you are watching a recording use the play /Pause ">II" button to pause the recording & then use the Back /Dismiss button ( 3 sided box with arrow pointing left) to exit it

Edit : Please note this Backup /Exit button action is a little inconsitent - it is mean to take you back one level (e.g. initially back to the recordings menu) but sometimes it exit completely back to live TV

I suggest you have a watch of the variuous videos on your SKY box listed from the Home Page under the Help Tab

Edit 2 - You can also do a lot of things via Voice Control - the equivalent of the above is Voice command "pause" followed by Voice command "exit" (and "Exit" again as required)
