There is clearly.a problem with the Sky box, everything else is set up correctly and works with other UHD sources well.

I have read discussion of this problem before, but I have not seen any solutions other than replacing the Q2TB box. Is there a less drastic solution that anybody is aware of please?

Does anybody know why it happens or what causes it? It looks like the UHD or HDR perhaps, just stops for a tenth of a second or so. I can't think why a box designed to cope with UHD should be unable to do so?

There is clearly a problem with quality control with some Sky UHD content. I've seen very bad flickering with The Blacklist and also Gangs Of London. I had it on Sky Q and now on Sky Stream and it is replicated on 3 different tvs. It is extremely distracting.

I have this problem with my Samsung TV. Model QE65QN900D . I've tried every setting the tv has, bought new cables hdmi 2.1. Also can't watch disney plus on the sky app, screen constantly goes black. Makes,me wonder my sky q,box is probably about 6 years old is it just dated technology? All the tv apps work great hd channels no issue uhd channels are really annoying I'm sure sky charge me for the pressure as well

They sent me a new box, had no effect. Had samsung support take over my tv and change some settings, no effect. Samsung want me to record it and email them the video. I've tried several Hdmi cables. The original hdmi cable that come with the sky box is the best. It is really frustrating. It can only be an input signal that's causing it

I've noticed this happening with mine. I've just purchased a new sky q 2tb box with uhd and a new Phillips TV 2025. I'm wondering if it could be the lnb? Or wideband one that's used for q? I've got a Greene king I think it is, hdmi cable and tried sky's pink one and neither stop this issue.

Given Comcast has decided streaming is the future, that's extremely unlikely. Satellite television broadcasting to the UK & RoI will probably cease before the end of this decade.

I'll refuse to swap to streaming. I love Q and I'm set in my ways with the TV guide and recording facility. I think I'll just persevere with UHD jumping. I only notice the sky sports box jumping, otherwise nothing, apart from the HDR message at the bottom. Brand new Philips TV also, so it's very strange.

My screen just did a bright flash, I tried for a year different settings different cables I had samsung support change things remotely all tv apps work perfectly in 4k ps5 no problems. I just gave up it was causing me to much bother. It's probably the tv, I was watching the England game on Itv the other week and England's kit was blue I pretty much had turn the screen to standard to see a white top i have the QE65QN900DTXXU Probably the last high end samsung TV I will buy

Agree, I think it's the TV rather than the sky box as the HDR message that appears on mine is the TV and it only happens during UHD channels on sky q box. I've tried 8bit and 10bit and auto, and different HDMI leads but no change. It is annoying and I need to figure what's causing it.
