Sky Go Not Working on MacBook Air

On a new Macbook Air, the SkyGo app is not working. It comes up with the same error message 'Connecting Your Application- We're Having Problems Connecting You. Please Try Again (001)' even though there are no wi-fi connection issues. I've tried everything- Rosetta is installed (it said it needed this when initially clicked on), I've deleted and re-installed several times and still the same message. I have the latest app version and all computer software is up to date.
