I cannot get Sky Go to run on my Macbook Air either. I phoned Sky and they said that I need to phone Apple.

Just spoken to Sky tech. They have issues in general w SkyGo and espicailly w oldest version (they didnt say which one) OS and Tahoe. Said ad blockers and VPNs dont work with it and to turn off. Apparently a fix on the way....

HI Team,

Basically I think sky go is coded to run on intel mac (i assume). it asks for rosetta 2 to be installed in the installation log? I am by no means technical on this.

What worked for me was:

hold control, click on the sky go installer in finder.

open with get info.

click open using rosetta in the info panel.

you might have to install twice

thanks for the Rosetta tip, that seems/ed to work for some but I can't even downlaod the app, app store just states 'this app not comapatble with this device'. Just great from Sky...

I found a workaround (macbook Air M1). Basically you have to first install it from the sky.com download page. One installed there will be a forever loop upon launch whereby you are thrown out of the app with a hard crash once the sky go app asks you to login. You can't because the app crashes everything the app gets to the Sky i.d. login page. The workaround is that you have to be the world's fastest typer before it crashes! If your slow, you'll have to write down both the username and password in a trusted mac app like notes. And then move each app side by side onscreen to enable very fast cope and pasting before the app crashes! It worked for me after 5months of no access!

I have the exact same problem. Macbbook Air Tahoe 26.2. I force installed Rossetta2 which according to "Terminal" was succesful. But still no joy with Sky Go. Just says unable to install. Please try again. Getting desparate now the new F1 season is nearly here..........

Install rosetta 2

I cant post instructions, apparantly not allowed but you can google it. Reboot mac then run sky go installer

With Apple dropping support for rosetta 2 shortly does this mean Sky go is dead for people on Macs?
