Sky Go App Keeps Crashing on Android

As the title suggests both me and my wife are unable to use the Sky Go app on our Android Phones. Mines a Sony Xperia 1 VI running Android 15 and my wife is a Google Pixel 9 Pro running Android 16. Every time we open the app it closes immediately. We've both tried clearing storage and cache for the app as well as rebooting our phones and uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

On a fresh install I can log in to the app but once I've done that it starts crashing again. Sometimes it stays open long enough for me to get to the menu screen if I'm quick but most of the time it crashes as soon as it's opened.

Interestingly I just noticed on our Sky Q box it says 'Your Sky Q box is not enabled to connect to Sky Go'. I've tried to reactive but nothing changes. I've tried rebooting the Sky Box but this doesn't fix the problem

Then that is why you can't activate Sky Go access via your Sky Q box so whatever is causing this it is nothing to do with your Sky Q box.

I have just got the new POCO X8 Pro Max with android 16 and have exactly the same problem. Have been through the usual clear cache/storage/uninstall/reinstall but it just keeps crashing at various points when opening the app.

Previously I had the POCO X5 Pro and it worked perfectly
