SkyGo - playing from laptop to TV via HDMI why picture no sound?

I have Skygo on my laptop. When I connect laptop via USBC/HDMI to my TV I get picture but no sound - is there a fix for this?

You might need to change a setting in your laptop to show that you are using a TV as an external monitor so have a look n the settings for such as option.

Thanks. It's an Apple MacBook Air - does that make an difference?

Picture coming through fine on the "Display" option in Settings.

On the "Sound" option in Settings I can see the TV connection via HDMI but I cannot set the output to that output source.

Thoughts?

SkyGo on Apple Macbook will not play sound to TV via HDMI. Picture plays fine.

On Appl MAcbook Settings menus:

Display - shows the TV and plays picture via HDMI connection

Sound - shows the output "Sony TV via HDMI" but I cannot connect the output to that output

Im afraid I don't know anything about Mac Book so if you don't get any replies here have you tried using a search engine to see what you can find ?

OK I set it up as a new query as I felt you had done everything you could and so didn't want it to die as a query.

I'd observe the official Apple accessory is an ambitious £69

I got it working by first playing a video on YouTube where sound came through perfectly..

I then switched to SkyGo and voila, problem solved!
