SkyGo not working on Android Tablet - cannot watch live shows

I have Skygo on my mobile phone and can watch shows without an issue

I have a OnePlus Pad 3 (android tablet) and cannot watch shows using skygo

I can connect to SKY Q and watch shows saved to my SKY Q

When I try and watch a live show - any channel it gets stuck with 0% download

maybe a couple of times I got a 2001 error but only a couple of times and it gave no useful information

oddly BBC1 and BBC 2 work on SkyGO - so it feels like Sky is blocking something

but all the other channels don't. I have left it trying to download for 30 minutes but it doesn't work

it shows the current time and the correct TV guide (which suggests it is connecting to the internet)

If I go to settings --> manage your devices - I get this error

There was a problem loading this webpage - Please check your network connection and try again.

The internet/Wifi is fine on the device, I can access the web

BBC1 and BBC 2 work using Skygo

What have I tried

tried lots of different channels (sky sports, channel 5, ITV, Sky History) none of the work.

Uninstalled Skygo and installed again

Restarted the tablet

turned off wifi , restarted tablet, turned on wifi, tried skygo

What happens if you disable to connection to your Sky Q box, although you will not be able to watch recording or stream channels via it you might have better luck watching live TV.

I disconnected sky q in the app and I still have the same problem.

Unfortunately that didn't fix it

What worked was turning off/resetting my WiFi/router.

After doing this then skygo worked.

I read somewhere that before this skygo was thinking the tablet was not in the UK and was blocked it. I don't fully understand why this works but it does.
