Skygo crashes before it even opens

just upgraded my laptop to windows 11 24h2 and sky go no longer works.

I have tried the following

Disabling snipper tool

turning off antivirus and firewall

uninstalled and removed all traces of the install (folders and registry entries)

downloaded and reinstalled it

I have even try installing hyperV as per others on the forum and still no joy

1 out of 20 times it might run but locks up or i do eventaully get in.

I keep getting crash reports in Event Viewer

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Really need to get this sorted before the weekend so i can watch the formula one

If it's a arm64 system I had to change emulation settings in the compatibility tab in properties and checked Hide x64 emulation capacity

Its a standard x64 intel hp laptop. so i know its nothing to do with the emulation of it

The only other thing I do have enabled in the compatibility tab is run as administrator checked

This is a fix/workaround from a different question on this forum. Works fine for me and several other people. Hope it helps!

I already had hyperV installed and still have the issue. Tried removing and installing again and made no difference

Enable WMIC by going to Windows Settings>System>Optional Features>View Features> Search for and select WMIC and then click next then add. Wait for the process to complete and then restart computer and try the SkyGo app.

Installing WMIC fixed all my SkyGo issues FYI

Already have that installed, but windows is phasing it out.
