Why doesn’t sky go work with sky glass

When I'm out I like to see what's on the tv so I know what to watch or record/add to playlist but sky go doesn't work with sky glass, are sky working on an app that will work?

Can you not use a notepad on a phone etc... to remind you and then add the programmes to the playlist when you get home?

You cannot record on Sky Glass it is an Streaming/On Demand service

You cannot make a physical note of programming whilst on holiday? I'm a little lost here and think I don't undertand your complain fully or you have not explained it clearly enough 😞

You are correct you can't use the Sky Go app to add programs to your playlist but it might be that Sky are working on closer communication between the app and Sky Glass sometime in the future ?

When we pay a large sum of money for what is supposed to be up to date technology, shouldn't really have to use a

notepad to set reminders. Just got sky glass myself and this is a really disappointing part of it. Yet if I stayed with Q, this service would be available. Shame they removed a good selling point!

Nothing has been 'removed': Sky Go is now a legacy software product dating back to before Sky Group was purchased by the Comcast Corporation, and Glass / Stream is a Comcast platform which has never interacted with Go.

It's unknown at this time if Sky-Comcast has any intention of releasing a streaming app to replace Go: in the US there's Xfinity Stream to match the X1 television hardware.

Okay well maybe "removed" was the wrong term to use obviously if we're getting pedantic. It is a shame that the capability does not currently exist in Sky Stream as it does for Sky Q as Stream/glass are improved services and the Sky Go abilities were so convenient.

As I said, they are now completely separate platforms from different developers, and it's entirely unclear what (if any) part Sky Go has in the Comcast/Sky roadmap, particularly given Sky Q itself has a finite remaining lifespan.
