Unable to watch live tv on Sky Go on iPad

I am able to watch On Demand and Recordings on Sky Go but when I try to watch live tv all I get is a black screen with the wheel of death. I have followed all the troubleshooting instructions and even reset the iPad and it's not fixing the issue.

I emailed Sky and the response was to following the troubling shooting steps which Inhad already told them I'd followed. When I spoke with Sky Tecnical they advised I had to contact the app developer!
Its a brand new iPad and the issue has only just happened...any ideas?//

Have you checked for any updates to your iPad to see if there are any ?

Softwp to date and this seem to be when the issue started. I can access Sky Go on the iphone by using 5G and not wifi, but not on ipad

I'm having the same problem. My ipad has always accessed Sky Go, but now when I select a channel, I get the black screen. I've also updated/reset/cleared everything, and nothing works. I have managed to get a couple of channels to work a couple of times, but as soon as I try select another channel, back to the black screen.

Same. I've now been told to contact the Sky Go Apps Team but not been given any contact details for them 😡

Hi. Since 15.01.25 I've been unable to watch "live" Sky programmes (Sport and Cinema) on my IPhone. Phoned Sky who didn't seem to understand the issue; sent a new broadband router which hasn't fixed the issue. Live in the Kirklees area of West Yorkshire and have seen similar posts.

CAN ANYONE HELP?!!

What is happening when you try to watch these live programs, do you see an onscreen message and if so what does it say ?

I get black screen with whirling wheel in the middle. I too am in Kirklees.

I too get black screen with whirling wheel in middle then after a couple of minutes Sky Go is disabled. When I try again the same happens.

No onscreen message, just a black screen and a whirling cog wheel ... if I click back, nothing happens. I literlly have to close the app and try again ... only to get the same black screen and nothing happens ... and yes, I have waited ... 15 minutes ... nothing happens ... and tried all the troubleshooting things (reboots etc) ... works on my phone, but not my ipad

In addition to this continuing issue I have spent over an hour on the phone to Sky who clearly didn't understand the issue but they have kindly sent a new broadband router.... hasn't resolved the Sky Go issue!!

CAN SOMEONE AT SKY PLEASE INVESTIGATE AND RESOLVE??

If you want to report it to Sky then you can do so via this email address - apps@sky.uk

Make sure you let them know what device you have and what operating system it is running.

Mine is now working. No thanks to the apps team who didn't read my email properly, suggested actions I'd already done (and mentioned in the email) then asked me to phone customer services. Absolute joke.

Mine is now working. On "chat" for 3 hours and they "didn't do anything" but mine is now working!! Confused!!

Mine is also working. 2 days ago it didn't even work on my phone anymore. This morning, it works on both. I haven't updated my ipad or my phone, I haven't updated any apps. I can only assume that whatever they "turned off" on their end, they have now turned back on again. Fingers crossed it stays working.
