Error 740 when trying to download sky go

My Sky Go app stopped working on my windows laptop, so I uninstalled it and tried to re-install but I now get an error:

Unable to execute file:

C:\Users\rso32\AppData\Roaming\Sky\Sky Go\Sky Go

CreateProcess failed: code 740

The requested operation requires elelvation

Can anyone help me with this?

Have you tried right clicking the software and selecting "Run as Administrator" ?

Hi there

Thanks for getting back to me.

I have and the app opens, checks for updates, does a cookies check then asks me to login and before I even try to, the screen disappears and app seems to close down.

Anything further I need to do?

I have the same issue and have tried running as administrator. I've completely removed all files, tried installing with no anti virus running etc to no avail.

Frustrating. I use Sky Go more than I watch the TV when I'm home at my computer !

It's so maddening as it was working one day, the next day, nothing! And due to Sky's broadcasting issues, I cannot throw/mirror my ipad to my tv!

What else can be done?

Any more help on offer to us?

Ok, so I cracked it, and I'd like to tell you how, but I really can't!

I have no idea what actually worked, but after uninstalling and re-installing Sky Go at least 7 times on my laptop, it is somehow now working again!!! I did use my VPN at some point, so maybe that helped, but not entirely sure if that was the fix!

Thanks to all those that offered help and advice. All I can say is, try, try and try again!

none of this works for me, ive reinstalled many times and ran the program as admin. The app opens up then closes again by itself...

It will shut down once i click accept cookies and yes I have ran the app as admin and reinstalled it many times, please help! (My windows is also up to date)
