Sky Go not working on Android Tablet

My Sky Go app is not working on my Android tablet (Samsung Tab S9).

I receive the error "and unknown error occured, please try again".

When I try and download something and then try to watch it, I get the error "External display output is blocked".

I have switched off wifi, deleted the app, restarted tablet, reinstalled app, enabled the permissions and still nothing.

I can watch and download all OK on my phone.

Has anyone encountered this or can anyone help please as I've hit a brick wall?

I had the same problem. I did a number of things but I think that as Sky prevent you from casting or sharing screens, I went to Settings on the tablet, then to Connected Devices and then took the slider off for any shared devices and also came out of Dex and exit from it. This worked.

OMG I think that's what it was....Dex! I didn't realise I had it on.

Yep, turn off Samsung Dex. I had the same problem. App would work on all other devices including Samsung phone, but getting external display fault on my Samsung galaxy tablet. Turned off Dex issue solved.

I also can't watch sky go on my samsung galaxy A9+ tablet. Getting 'unknown error occurred, please try again' constantly. I cant see that I'm in samsung DeX as clicking on it takes me to a start DeX box. The sliders are all off for any connected devises. I've uninstalled and re installed the sky go app and restarted my device numerous times. The sky go version is 24.2.1.4 and can't get to an earlier version. Tab version is up to date. Can anyone help me please?
