SkyGo Javascript error when installing (Windows 11)

Sky go was working fine on my laptop until it tried to update.

The update failed with the error message below. I have tried the following:

Delete and reinstall

Reboot

Run as admin

Delete Sky, Sky Go and Sysmedia (or whatever this is called) from app data to no avail

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Looks like the latest update is upsetting my antivirus and it is quarentining a file in my appdata

I have exactly the same problem and have gone through the same steps as @Giraffe1401

I compared my error message to yours, and it is exactly the same, except for the .tmp.node file name at the begining.

Looking forward to finding out the solution

If it's your own device I imagine you can create an exception in your antivirus software (mine looks like it is identifying that file as a threat and quarantining it) but my device is managed by my company so have to wait for sky to fix it

I found the quarantined files, but for various reasons, I don't have admin rights to my antivirus software. I've changed that and it now works. Thank you for your help

Right click your Sky Go shortcut and "Open file location" and then delete SkyGo. This should let you re-install it. I was having the same issue and this has worked for me.
